About ING statements
QBO (QuickBooks Online) is the native import format for Intuit QuickBooks, both Desktop and Online versions. It uses a simplified financial exchange structure that QuickBooks reads directly, enabling one-click bank feed imports without manual data entry or column mapping. ING PDF statements use DD/MM/YYYY dates and European number formatting where commas are decimal separators and dots are thousands separators. Statements are available in Dutch (Betaalrekening, Beginsaldo, Eindsaldo) and English. Our parser detects the language automatically.

The QBO file is the OFX body plus an Intuit INTU.BID header, with CURDEF set to EUR. Because the account is in EUR, not USD, the file header declares UTF-8 so accents and umlauts in descriptions survive. The OFX <NAME> field is cut to 32 characters. The longest ING description prefix ("Periodieke overboeking") takes 22 of them, leaving 10 for the merchant or counterparty.
ING statement details the parser handles
- Detection is deliberately strict: the parser requires either the IBAN substring 'INGB' or the standalone word 'ING' (uppercase with word boundaries) plus a banking keyword, to avoid false positives on 'banking', 'opening' or 'closing'
- Accounts are identified by a Dutch IBAN such as 'NL91 INGB 0001 2345 67' — the 'INGB' bank code is itself a strong detection signal, and the IBAN is masked before export
