About ING statements
CSV (Comma-Separated Values) is a plain-text format that stores tabular data with each row on a new line and values separated by commas. It is the most universal data exchange format, supported by virtually every spreadsheet application, database tool, and accounting software on the market. ING PDF statements use DD/MM/YYYY dates and European number formatting where commas are decimal separators and dots are thousands separators. Statements are available in Dutch (Betaalrekening, Beginsaldo, Eindsaldo) and English. Our parser detects the language automatically.

ING prints dates as DD/MM/YYYY and amounts as 1.234,56. The CSV normalises both: the Date column is written as YYYY-MM-DD text, and Amount as a plain decimal with a dot and two places, with a separate Type column saying debit or credit.

- Statements are bilingual: Dutch labels such as 'Betaalrekening' (current account), 'Beginsaldo' (opening balance), 'Eindsaldo' (closing balance) and 'Periode' (period) co-exist with English equivalents depending on the customer's language setting
- Period header uses 'Periode: DD/MM/YYYY - DD/MM/YYYY' with DD/MM/YYYY dates — slash-separated, unlike Deutsche Bank's dot-separated DD.MM.YYYY
